Apple has struck a deal to buy the streaming and downloading music Web site Lala.com, according to reports from the New York Times and Wall Street Journal – full story here .

8 million users worldwide but only 20k in the UK – ramping up their domination of music download services in the fight against Microsoft for market domination.
